Kaylana Lake Jodhpur History:

Kaylana Lake is a man-made lake located at the west of Jodhpur,  the lake falls towards the Jaisalmer.  This artificial lake was established in the year 1872 by Pratap Singh.  The lake is extended over 84 kilometers of land and the lake measures a depth of 30 to 35 feet.  The lake is popular for its breath taking view and for bird Watching.  The lake is connected to the Hati Canal and the Indira Ghandi Canal which flows into Takhat Sagar and the Umaid Sagar.  The lake is a great spot time tour during the way to Jaisalmer. October to March is the best time to Visit the lake.
