Vaidehi Falls is the must-visit place in Coimbatore city. The fall is also called as the “Tholayira Murthi Kandi” in Tamil. Kovai Kutralam Falls
Kovai Kutralam Falls is 35 KM far from the Coimbatore city and is located in the Siruvani Dam of Palakkode District of Kerala. This is one of the best places to visit in Coimbatore. The buses are available to the fall from Coimbatore Bus Station every half an hour from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The falls can be enjoyed by all the age groups of Youngers to elders. The place is rich in floral species. It is the perfect place for nature lovers. One can enjoy the birds chirping by having the cool breezes.
On the journey to the falls, one can visit the temple and the famous Karunya University. From the Entry point of the forest, there is the forest van available that takes the visitors to the waterfalls.

Siruvani Falls and Dam
The Siruvani Falls and Dam is one of the attractions in Coimbatore. The place is shown for the number of times in National Geography, Discovery, etc. channels. One has to walk for some distance to reach the place. On the way, visitors can explore the greenery, birds and number of flora and fauna.
The waterfalls can be enjoyed in 3 different levels. The first is the ground level where a small pond is formed where one can enjoy swimming and other activity. The first level is higher than the ground level where the water gushes the rock. The third spot is the highest peak and is the most dangerous one which has a small deep hole between the rocks to the pond.

Sree Ayyappan Temple Coimbatore
Sree Ayyappan Temple is the place in Coimbatore located at the center of the city. The temple is dedicated to Lord Sree Ayyappa. The temple is known for its architecture and the methods of performing poojas.
The temple is the must-visit place and a yearly number of devotees visit the place. The temple is home for the gods like Lord Shiva, Sri Murugan, Lord Vinayagar, Durga Ji and Maha Vishnu. The temple dwajastamba is covered with gold and is known for festivals celebrated in the temple.
History of Ayyappan Temple
The temple takes back to 1942 where some of the devotees of Lord Ayyappa offered some of the poojas and offered some of the bhajans which is dedicated to Lord Murugan. With the days passing the pooja group grew and finally in 1955 the group register under the name of Coimbatore Sree Ayyappa Seva Sangam.
The Industrialist, Sri Narasi Thulasidas provided a shed to the temple and the devotees installed the idol of Lord Ayyappaswamy in the temple. Gradually the shelter increased to the other gods of Lord Vinayagar, Lord Sri Murugan, Lord Sri Maha Vishnu and Goddess Sri Durga Devi. The first Kumbabhishekam ceremony is done by the priests Palakkattillathu Periya Neelakandan Nambudiri on March 24th of 1969. The pure gold is covered to the idols by the Kodi Maram or dwajastamba in 1972.
