Shirdi the place of Sai Baba. Previously, Sai used to live in Dwarakamai from his first visit to Shirdi. Due to the ruin and reconstruction of Dwarakamai devotees insisted Baba to stay in Chavadi. From then Baba used to stay alternate nights in Dwarakamai and Chavadi in his last days. Every Wednesday the devotees are allowed to touch the feet of Baba in Samadhi Mandir. Later after the Sai Baba’s Maha Samadhi, the temple is shifted to the Baba’s Samadhi Mandir where devotees offer Pooja to Sai Baba.

The temple will be opened from morning 4:00 AM every day and closes at the night 11:00 PM.

Sai Baba Aarthi Timings

Kakad Aarthi                                       –           4:40 AM to 5:00 PM

Mid-day Aarthi or Madhyan Aarthi    –           12:00 PM

Evening Aarthi                                    –           5:58 PM

Shej Aarthi or Night Aarthi – 10:30 PM

Palkhi Procession

The Palkhi Procession is offered to Sai Baba on every Thursday. The procession will be carried from Baba’s Maha Samadhi to the Chavadi at 9:15 PM. Lots of devotees flocked near the place to participate in the procession.

Daily Schedule and Darshan Timings

The temple will be opened at 4:00 AM; Bhupali Aarthi is performed at 4:15 AM.

Kakada Aarthi also known as the Morning Aarthi is performed from 4:30 AM to 5:00 AM, Bhajans in Sai Baba Mandir is done at 5:00 AM along with the Holy Bath of Sai Baba in Samadhi Mandir at 5:05 AM.

At 5:35 AM “Shirdi Majhe Pandharpur” Aarthi is offered and from 5:40 AM the Darshan begins for the devotees. In Dwarakamai Dhuni Pooja with rice and Ghee is offered at 11:30 AM.

Mid Day Aarthi is performed from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM and at 4:00 PM devotional reading or the study known as Pothi is done in Samadhi Mandir.

If there are any Devotional Songs and Culture Programmes are to be performed they are performed from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM in Samadhi Mandir.

At 9:00 PM except on Thursdays the Gurusthan and Chavadi will be closed. At 9:30 PM water is offered to Baba and a mosquito net is hung and the hanging lamp is lit in Dwarakamai. At 9:45 PM the upper part of Dwarakamai will be closed.

From 10:30 PM to 10:50 PM a shawl is wrapped around the idol of Sai Baba and a Rudraksha Mala is put around his neck and the Shej Aarthi is performed.

After the Aarthi a mosquito net is hung and a glass of water is kept beside Baba idol and the temple “Samadhi Mandir” closes after these formalities at 11:15 PM.

Abhishekam and Pooja Timings in Shirdi Sai Mandir

There will be 3 batches daily to perform Abhishekam and Pooja. The first batch will be allowed at 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, the second batch will be allowed from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM the third batch will be allowed.

There are a number of RTC and private buses and taxis from the Mumbai daily. Shirdi has a bus station which is well connected from all over the country and the state.

There is a Railway Station in Shirdi; all the major cities are well-connected through this town.
