Vetticode Nagaraja Temple History:

Vetticode Nagaraja Temple is one of the popular snake temples, this temple was consecrated by Lord Parasurama. The temple is extended to an area of six acres of land. The temple is totally surrounded by lush green plants. The temple is popularly known for the rituals like Sarpabali and Naga Sarpa Dosha. All rites in the temple are performed by the Karanavar of the temple. Karanavar is the who is the chief priest who has dedicated his entire life to worshipping the Serpent God. Aayilliya Mahotsavam and Pooyam Those are the popular festivals celebrated in the temple. Devotees worship the Serpent gods for blessings.
