Watch Tower Hampi History
Watch Tower is one of the security sources during the reign of Krishnadevaraya. It is specially meant for the guards to quarantine the Royal palace. Watch Towers can be spotted at many areas in Hampi. These towers play a dual role, one for the military usage for the guards and as a vantage point for the Royal Ladies. It has nice architecture and many interesting carvings. These watchtowers are located at the periphery of the royal palace or other royal architectures.
