Galtaji Mandir History

Galtaji Mandir situated in Jaipur is one of the popular temples of Jaipur. The temple has got 7 holy kinds, among them the Galti Kund is the popular one and is believed that it never gets dried. The Galti Monkey Temple houses and ancient old idol of Lord Hanuman. The temple premises has 3000 to 3500 monkeys. One can feed the monkeys and can get pictures clicked with the friendly monkeys. The temple is located at 10 away from Jaipur. This Hanuman temple is apparently the oldest on and it is said that the coconut placed at the feet of Lord Hanuman was kept by Akbar the ruler. The temple was named after a saint named Galta, from there after the temple is called as Galtaji Temple.
