Pataleshwar Mahadev  Temple Jaipur History:

Pataleshwar Mahadev Temple situated in Jaipur is an old Shiva temple.  It is called Pataleshwar,  because the temple is underground.  The temple is 400 years old and was excavated during 1970s. The temple was located 20 meter below the earth surface.  Later a stairway was constructed to reach the Pataleshwar Mahadev mandir to worship and offer prayers. This underground hidden gem was built before 400 years andthe founder of the temple is still unknown. Well people says that was the creation of the Lord himself to grace the earth.
