Sun Temple Jaipur History:
Sun Temple of Jaipur is situated on the top of the rock at the Aravali hills. From the temple top of one can get a great panoramic view of the city. The temple is dedicated to the planetary deity Lord Sun. The temple follows a great tradition of Hindu rituals. The temple is crowded with devotees especially during the sunrise and during the sunset. The sunrise is regarded as the major time to perform rituals like the aarti and the Surya namaskar. In the evening people gather to view the spectacular view of the sunset which issaid to be the most divine thing to see in Jaipur from the Surya Mandir.
