The Patna Zoo is pronounced by various names such as Gandhi Botanical Zoo and Zoological Garden which is situated in Patna (Bihar) of India. The Zoo was opened to the public in the year 1973. The Patna Zoo is a famous tourist spot, especially for the picnic. The Zoo is a biological park as it is composed of both Botanical and Zoological gardens.

This Zoo houses nearly 800 animals of 110 species, which is composed of the Cat Family animal species, Magars (Crocodiles), hippos, reptiles, giraffes, zebras, emu birds, deer, different Aves (birds) like peacocks, mynas..etc

The Zoo a biological garden shows both Botanical and Zoological reserves, in the Botanical occupation of species, the Patna Zoo Botanical garden exhibits a nursery for medicinal plants, an orchid house (ornamental), beautiful rose garden, the sparkling glass house, fern house. The Botanical garden of Patna Zoo shows about 300 species of plant species.

The unique look of the Zoo it shows an aquarium composed of  35 species of fishes. The Patna Zoo shows a snake house, which houses 5 different species of snakes makes a total of 32 snakes. The visitors who visit the Zoo says one should not miss the magnificent elephant ride as it gives a massive royal way of travelling.
