Pattambalam Devi History
Pattambalam Devi Temple is one of the famous temple situated in Mannar of Kerala. The temple is dedicated to the mother goddess Pattambalam Devi. The temple follows great sequence of rituals. The temple grandly celebrates the annual festival known as Anpoli Areepara Mahothsavam which is an annual festival which is celebrated for 18 days in the Malayalam month known as Medam. During this festival Anpoli Areepara Mahothsavam priest performs a unique dance that is the priest carries the deity on his shoulders and dances also devotees welcomes the mother goddess with fireworks. Though many customs and rituals are been followed but during this festivals special rituals are been followed.
