Suriyanar Koil Temple History

Suryanar Temple is one of the popular Hindu temples dedicated to the Sun God. The temple also houses the consorts of the Sun god goddess Ushadevi and goddess Pratyusha Devi. The temple is popularly known as the Navagraha pooja, Homam and other rituals. The temple has a vast area for the assembly of devotees to perform various rituals. This ancient temple exhibits the Dravidian architecture.
