About Vadakkunnathan Temple Thrissur
The Vadakkumnathan temple located in Thrissur of Kerala is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is the ancient temple of Kerala, decorated with beautiful paintings and murals showcasing the Kerala style of architecture. The temple grandly celebrates the annual festival the Pooram festival which is very famous.
The Vadakkumnathan temple is famous for its architecture and for its pleasant calm and cool atmosphere also for the Pooram festival. The temple is opened daily and various rituals are followed and the temple is closed with the last rite Trippuka. Strict rules are followed in this temple, children’s below one year and Non-Hindus are not allowed in this temple.
