The Museum is established in the 1930’s by Wankhar Family. The museum displays 1600 species of Butterflies and Moths from all over the world. The museum is the only famous all over India which is devoted to Butterflies and Moths.

The Museum played a vital role in the conservation of Rare Moths and Butterflies species initiating the breeding program. The museum exhibits few insights into the life span and habitat of the displayed insects.
