Mookambika Temple situated in Udupi is one of the popular temples of goddess Mookanbiga. The temple is unique and popular for the idol of the deity, as the deity symbolises Goddess Mahalakshmi, Goddess Mahasarwati and goddess Mahakali represented as goddess Adiparashakti. It is said that the idol of the deity is self manifested idol locally known as Udbhava Linga. The idol represents both purush (Male) and Shakti that is female. The Kollur Siddhi Kshetra is one of the popular Hindu temple of Karnataka. Mother deity is offered with a great theme of ritual like Alankara Pooja, Chandi Homa, Maha Pooja, different offerings like neivedyams.
