Monsoon Palace Udaipur History:

Monsoon Palace or popularly known as Sajjan Garh Palace.  The palace was named after the king Maharana Sajjan Singh ( 1874 – 1884 ).  From the Monsoon Palace a great view of the city can be seen. The palace situated on the hilltop surrounded by lush green hills,  beautiful Fateh Sagar Lake and the city.  In the evening during the sunset,  the sunrays beams over the palace makes it appear in golden orange colour which an another important time to view the palace. From the palace one can get 360 degree view of the city.  This palace was apparently chosen for the residence for the Royal Family members during monsoons and there after it is called as Monsoon Palace.  The palace has also got many old artifacts belonging to the Royal families.
