Pakhui Wild Sanctuary:
Pakhui Wild Sanctuary is also known as Pakke Tiger Reserve. The sanctuary is dedicated to the Tigers, located in the East Kameng district. This Sanctuary is started in July 1966.
The main types of vegetation are Lowland Semi- Evergreen, Secondary Moist Bamboo Tract, Swampy forests, Upper Assam Valley Tropical Evergreen Forest, Tropical Revering Forest and Eastern Himalayan Broadled Forest.
Apart from the View of Tiger, the visitors on visiting Pakhui includes Indian Elephant, Gaur, HogDeer, Barking Deer, Himalayan Black Bear, Indian Fox, Fishing cat, clouded leopard, cobra, common leopard, bison, Python, flying squarrel etc. One can also view the birds like Jungle Fowl, White-winged wood duck, hornbill, barbet, Serpent-eagle and Drongo.
