3. Roing Zoo

The Roing Zoo is the mini Zoo located in the Roing. It is spread across an area of 2 Hectares and was established in 1987. The Zoo is located in Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary Division in Riong. The zoo is an important Eco-Tourism destination and gives shelter for rescued animals.

4. Bhismaknagar Fort

Bhismaknagar Fort is the major attraction of Roing. This is one of the oldest forts according to the 8^th century. Many locals and tourists visit this fort round the year. There are several artifacts that were found during the excavation process like terracotta plaques, terracotta figurines, potteries, and decorative tiles.

5. Mehao Lake

Mehao Lake is at an elevation of around 3000Ft in the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary, covering an area of nearly 4sq km. the lake attracts many wild ducks and other birds.

Boating in the lake is an absolute pleasure. Beautiful flowering plants, trees, and rare vegetation enrich the glory of the lake further.

6. Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary

The sanctuary was established in 1980 and is home to many species of wild animals including the Bengal tiger, hillocks gibbon, leopard and clouded leopard. Apart from the mammals, the rich and diverse fauna of the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary is inclusive of 200 species of birds, 13 snake species, 232 species of butterflies and 6 species of fishes.

Trekking for 12 KM which takes approximately 4-7Hours is the best way to enjoy the beauty of the Sanctuary.

Here one can find a good Nepali population; they are the ones who are responsible for maintaining all the orchards in this region.
