Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy temple History
The legend says that when Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati decided to find brides for both sons. They got three brides, i.e., Buddhi, Siddhi, and Riddhi, for their younger son Lord Ganesh. Their elder son, Kartikey, returned and enraged him with this situation, then he went to Mount Kraunja in the name of Kumar Brahmachari. Kartikey saw, Lord Shiva, followed him. He tried to move to another place but at the request of all Gods, stayed close by.
