Overview

Tirthan Valley Himachal Pradesh is the main way to Great Himalayan National Park. It is located in the Kullu district and is at an altitude of 1600 meters above the sea level. The valley is only named because of the National Park. The Valley is named after the Tirthan River which flows from Tirth and the origin is located in GHNP and ends at Beas River.

Other than the other spots in Himachal Pradesh, this valley is still well maintained and serves a fantastic environment for travelers.

The tourists will enjoy the surrounding places in the valley and the traditional architecture. The people in the village will leave a lot of sweet memories in your mind.

 The Tirthan Valley in Himachal Pradesh receives snowfall during December to February. During spring season that is from March- April the temperature lies in between 8 degrees to 16 degrees Celsius.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit the Valley is between the moths of March and June. One can experience the cool and pleasant weather and experience the flora and fauna over there along with the apple orchards. From November to February one can experience the snowfall and enjoy the icy conditions.

Photography

Best place for photography lovers. One can capture the flora and fauna explored during summer and the snowfall and joy you get during winter.

Festivals

Phagali Festival is a unique festival that is celebrated between the months of February and March. The festival is celebrated for 8 days with some of the fantastic mask dance.

Trekking in the Valley

The place offers a great trekking opportunity for trekkers at Great Himalayan National Park. One can have water facilities in the guesthouses on the way up the hill. The park for the trekker’s facilities some of the guesthouses on their way during trekking. Dhaba foods are available on the way, but pack some of the important food for the rest of the journey.

One can enjoy the river crossing, Serloskar Lake, Trout Fishing, Trekking Great Himalayan National Park, Waterfalls, Jibhi, Jalori Pass on their visit to the Valley.

One can reach the place on their visit to the Kullu as the distance from Kullu is 54 KM and takes about 2 hours.

Tirthan Valley to Manali – 93 KM and takes about 3 hours to visit the place.

Tirthan Valley to Delhi – 484 KM and takes about 11 hours to reach the valley.
