Silent Valley National Park History:

Silent Valley National Park situated in Nilgiri hills of Kerala is composed of rare faunal and floral species population. It is stretched to an area of 236.74 square kilometers. Silent Valley National Park was established in the year 1847 by Robert Wight famous botanist. This zone is known as  Sairandhrivanam locally. The park is supported by the Kuntipuzha river which is a source of water for the entire park. And also this river adds extra beauty to this park.The Silent Valley National Park has a serene and pleasant atmosphere which is perfect for picnics. The massive atmosphere, the beautiful river, and the lush green plants make you feel alive. Also one can trek to enjoy and explore this untouched beauty.
