The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has 3 shrines- Arunachaleswara Temple built by Gangas of Talakad, Bhoga Nandeeshwara by Cholas and Uma Maheswara temple with a Kalyana Mandapam that is supported by pillars in black stone. Parrots are carved on these pillars in an outstanding way.

Nandi Mandapam

Nandi Mandapam is situated with a massive bull placed in front of every temple. In the Arunachaleswara Temple complex, Ugra Ganapati is installed and is known for its rare marvelous structure.

This temple is divided into 3 sections of Shiva’s life – Shiva as Child, Adolescents, and Uma-Maheshwara at the time of marriage with Parvati Devi.
