Kalyani Dam

Kalyani Dam was constructed in the year 1977 across the River Swarnamukhi which flows from Chandragiri to Srikalahasti and continues thru Vakadu. The dam is situated near Ramgampeta and is 20km from Tirupati city. The water from this dam supports the needs of pilgrims in Tirumala. This dam will be colourful during the rainy season.

Talakona Waterfalls

Talakona Waterfalls is one of the top visiting places around Tirupati, which is 70 km away. During the months of Oct, Nov and Dec, the flow will be high and attracts tourists from nearby states. This forest houses variety of species such as Indian Giant Squirrel, Mouse Deer, Golden Gecko, Panther, Porcupine, Leopard and Sambar. In the year 1989, Talakona reserve as declared as a biosphere reserve to safeguard the rare species and plants.

Chandragiri Fort

Chandragiri Fort is a historical fort, built in the 11th century by Yadava naidu kings, located in Chandragiri, and it is 17km from Tirupati in Chittoor District. And it was ruled by the most prominent and well known Vijayanagara emperor Srikrishna Devarayaara till his inauguration at Penukonda. This fort has Museum with all Vijayanagara kings memorial paintings, arms and wepons used in those days and also a pot infront of Fort for boating.

S.V Zoological Park in Tirupati

Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park has been established with all amenities. Lion Safari attracts the visitors a lot. The Park is named after the Lord Venkateswara of Seven Hills in Tirupati. It is the Second largest zoo park in Asia. S.V.Zoo is 9 km from Tirupati bus station.

Jungle Book Bio Park

The entry to this park is located right at the entrance of Kapileswara Swamy Temple. The walking path attracts visitors and is good to visit during the months of Dec and Jan. This park was built with Malwadi Gundam as the base.
