Adiyogi Shiva Statue Coimbatore Overview, How to Reach and Address

Adiyogi Shiva Statue Coimbatore is a 35 meter tall, 45meter long and 7.7-meter wide statue of Hindu God Shiva in the state of Tamil Nadu. The statue was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the Largest Bust Sculpture in the world.

The whole project is designed by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, the founder of Isha Foundation. The Statue weighs around 500 tones. The statue is totally made of iron.

The Adiyogi Shiva Statue was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India Sri Narendra Modi on 24^th of February 2017 on occasion of Maha Shivaratri the festival celebrated on the occasion of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva Wedding.

The Adiyogi is situated in the Isha Yoga complex which is the home for Dhyanalinga. The place is at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains. The statue symbolizes 112 possibilities to attain Moksha. Jaggi Vasudev said that the height of the statue represents the 112 chakras in the human system. The statue’s face is the tallest in the world. The tallest statue is 44metres tall located in Nepal known as Kailashnath Mahadev Statue.

The Linga has 5 chakras are Muladhara known as the root chakra, Svadhishthana known as the Sacral chakra, Manipura known as the Solar Plexus Chakra, Vishuddhi known as Throat Chakra and Ajna known as the Third eye Chakra. The Isha Foundation is planning to construct the Shiva Statues in Varanasi, Mumbai, and Delhi.
